after hearing all the dire reports that because of our drought summer, the leaves would be early and not particularly colorful,  I have to say this:

I wil have to get some pics tomorrow, it was too rushed of a day driving miss lauren, but the colors are on time and spectacular. They are doing the outside in thing, getting colored outer leaves, and fading to green leaves the closer to the trunk you get. Like the trees have been airbrushed quickly by god. and trees are various colors, from deep red, to brilliant knock your eyeballs oout red, to oranges the hues of fire, and then yellows… golden and bright. Bright enough to make you think the sun was out on a cloudy day. ahhh to get some pics. I hope they were not all washed off the trees or blown off in the nasty storms that we have had this after noon. hope hope hope. if not, well, they are in my mind’s eye for a long time
