for a day that was supposed to turn sunny, it sure does not look like that. It snowed a weeeee bit, and turned to slush mainly. This AM it was pretty stable all the way to work. But with this darkness and cold, I sure hope it is OK driving back. Hate driving in snow, darkness, ice, rain. I should live in a bubble.

although yesterday it looked like snow in the morning, it cleared up. this morning when I let the dog out (I slept late today, again) it was that cold and smell that just says “snow”. there are the clouds, the stillness, the nip. So, if it does, good. if it does not, well… I still have a ton of work to get done today, as usual. I have a list of MUST GET DONE for today. Need to be able to bill them out, this week.

So it will be a day of hunkering down. Using the kero heaters, I need to stretch the oil for as long as I can. It looks like it will be staying cold for a bit, and I don’t want it to get sucked down especially when we are not home. But Lauren is home, and it is warmer downstairs, so I may just have her run a kero during the day when she is not working. She is going on a cruise to the Caribbean. That should be interesting. She got the ticket from a friend. Jed is going too, so the two of them can look out for each other. I have got to let go of them. With her here and her being so needy, it is just natural to keep her as my kid. Not the adult she supposedly is. Yeha.. ha ha.. an adult.

A good breakfast under my belt (sweatpants elastic in reality) and now off to shower and get to making those web sites

Lauren had a court date yesterday. She thought she just had to go up and pay her fine. But she must have mis heard. She found out about the date in the AM. We were just going to go up and pay the fine and be done with it, I was loaning her (don’t laugh too hard about my choice of word there) half of her fine. Lucky thing I did not have anything else planned. I went inside with her this time, and got to watch the dregs of the universe. We got there around 11 and out at 1. so much for my day. It was so much fun, I cannot tell you. wooden bench sitting is an exercise in “being”. Like the 6 hours I sat a few weeks ago in Mass. for her other court thing. At least that was comfy. It was too cold to sit in the car.

But it is over. I hope. I told her that it is her father’s turn next time, I’ve done my motherly duty for the last time with her. I think she was shocked a bit that I had that attitude. I’ve been all supportive all along, but when you see an attitude of “oh well, glad that is over” and no sign of any significant change, well, my support is going to go away. She can either change her behavior or go to jail. I’ve had enough of this crap.

And… I did get some work finished this week. Nice to have a productive week like this. Need the money. So…. off to get more work done. My production has been upped alot.. wow…
