social networking nay-sayer
I mean, really, this is a “fad”?
The main reason why FrankelBiz doesn’t get as much activity as it once did is due to the disctraction of better-funded-but-less productive “social networking” sites that do little more than waste people’s time.
FrankelBiz continues to provide real business results, which is why I’d like to see more FrankelBees jump in. We still get great participation on Monday morning Free Clinic chats.
This is not the first time we’ve seen a misguided fad like social networking displace Frankelbiz from the minds of people. Don’t get me wrong, social networking is great for social purposes, but I have yet to see anyone who can demonstrate the business ROI from it. When FrankelBees do business, you see real action.
That’s not my opinion, it’s real fact!
My question to Rob is “have you honestly engaged in social networking? ” If you did, and you have this “fact” then maybe it was “how” you engaged in it. It is a different animal than regular networking. It is all about the customer, not about YOU. Please, don’t state as fact that social networking does not produce business just because it did not produce for you and your “old” way of marketing. Limited views of things produce stagnation, and that is WHY social networking has taken off. You have the WRONG definition of “social” dear. It’s all about community dear. That is “social”.
