I bought a small marketing audio/pdf training last week. Listening to it, I am starting to get some ideas. The traffic from the search engines has twiddled down to little. Not getting the leads from it that I need, so I need to market locally and get this business going to a level that I can do it without having these down times. I knew that working the outside job would diminish my business, but not to this point. I have to go back this coming week, but I am telling them that it is the last week. period. I cannot afford it any longer. If I need a part time job, I’ll go out and find one locally and sit in an office. But I want to do this business. More, to a point where I can charge an amount that I can live on. And not have to fucking hustle for money every week.

And to get out from under this debt, I may have to sell the house. Yes, the one I have busted my ass for, all these years. I cannot do it any longer. I want some rest.

makes sense to me. had lots of things to do, and so… nice holiday, and so glad it is over for this year. too much money spent on things that are too fleeting. but then again, the memories will be with you forever, so maybe it is a bargain. yeh.

anyway, need to ramp up business and get going along with things that need to be done.

This person is doing what I will be doing in a few years. Maybe sooner.  Who knows. Sell my house here, pay off my debt, have a few bucks to build, and work from a trailer in the valley.

yeah, catchy huh? but i was inspired tonight when I did a shopping run. The christmas lights on people’s bushes and the lighted reindeers, sleighs, trees, all glisten off the ice that tops the 6 inches of snow. This town here has a “tradition” of mainly white lights, and the lighted fantasys have this glow on them from the ice reflections. like they have life inside. kinda cool to see.

Got a bit of work done today, and I hope for some tomorrow, but then there is the shopping to do, and get it all done in one day.. ha ha.

life lately is nothing short of sucky. the tax collector demand for payment, which means an additional $200 a month. The oil that I need, again, which will cost $450. The late payment from mr. wahwahwah every month. The lack of payments from clients, and the lack of any new contracts lately. This is beginning to suck.

I looked at expression engine just now. I am wondering if I should go in and give it a try. I can then import all my pMachine posts. and then see if I can import these posts. I think I am going to give it a try. Hell, if I learned how to do a custom WP blog, why not EE?

Oh, and the snow? yup. got it. had enough of it already.

Heard from Lauren yesterday. She did not sound all that great, kinda like it was either overwhelming to be with these people all day long, or she was homesick. I doubt that part. I do know that she is worried about her bill. She may not have enough money to pay her onboard things. Oh well! life is tough huh?

and coming down fast and furious. oh boy… I did not go into work. Did not want to listen to the closings, and did not want to drive there just to leave in an hour. Supposed to get a few inches, and then this weekend another storm. oh boy here it comes… oh joy oh joy

Yesterday as I was coming home, I looked up the hil, at the trees. It looked like there was a mist on them, a fog. but it was ice. Nice, not too much like to break limbs and take out power. Just enough to have a glint. As I drove over the hill, on my side of it, there was no ice on the trees. weird. Today when I drove back over, going to work, sure nuff, the other side had the ice. and what looked like shards of glass on the ground underneath, the ice falling off the trees. Coming home, almost the same deal. not as much ice low on the hill, but up the hill there was still ice on trees, while the rest of the world was drying up. And piles of shards at the base of the trees. weird.

So kids are in Caribbean, and lo… there is a tropical storm. Went right over where they were to be today. From the web cam, the boat never docked, and the pics in the afternoon made me believe that there are a number of not so happy people on the boat. pretty large waves, and lots of rain. Tomorrow they are in St Thomas. So that will be better I hope. Boy… a storm this late, who’d thought that would happen huh? poor kids… yeah right
